Club History
Copthorne has had a football club in the village since the 1930’s and were known at that time as the 'Yellow Bellies'.
There have been a few different iterations of the club since then and the current club was formed in 2006.
The intention of the club was to encourage players from Copthorne Youth FC to progress from youth to adult football. The club grew quickly from one team to three in successive seasons.
Following the merger with Copthorne Rovers in 2011, the club has continued to have three teams playing in the Mid Sussex Football League.
In 2018 our first team gained promotion to the Southern Combination Football
League and we maintained two teams in the Mid Sussex Football League, Premier and Division 2 North.
Post Covid–19 the club had maintained its senior side in Division Two of the Southern Combination Football League but at the end of the 22/23 season the First Team won promotion to Division One.
The club continues to develop with the help and support of many local people, sponsors and organisations. The club is a FA Charter Standard Club.
We continue to ground share at Horsham FC.
